Brown Rot eradication, Bathroom and structural repairs
We were initially called in to quote to renovate a bathroom. During the demolition phase we uncovered dry rot. To eradicate, we had to cut out all timber one metre past the last sign of infection. Once we removed the floorboards it became apparent that a previous owner had removed the ground floor partition wall, but did not add any structural members to support the floor.
We removed the partition wall between bathroom and bedroom, removed the floorboards and the joists and treated all masonry and timber. We rebuilt the floor adding a new foundation, column and steel beam. We then installed the bathroom, tiled the walls and laid the cushioned flooring. We then carpeted the bedroom, landing and stairs.
