This bathroom renovation was part of a full house refurbishment that had more than a few buried surprises for us all.
When we removed the old suite we could smell the tell-tale signs of rot. We made a hole in the floor and inserted a camera to record what was out of sight. We uncovered a bad rot infection. We removed all diseased timbers, treated the area correctly and rebuilt the floor. The poor insulation, responsible for mould growth on the ceiling due to condensation, was removed and PIR insulation added prior to overskimming all surfaces. We installed a wall mounted bath tap and provided services for a wall mounted basin. We relocated the toilet to make room for a walk in shower that was clad with aqua-board.
