Bedroom to Bathroom Conversion
Though we were fully booked up until May, as the client was an old school friend, we agreed to convert a bedroom to a shower room at weekends to try and get this done before Christmas. In hindsight this was too tight a schedule, we had never done a weekend only project before and we doubt if we will do one again.
We removed the carpet and noted that the flooring was plywood. We cut around the shower area and replaced the standard plywood with marine ply. We modified the soil stack at the rear of the property to accept the new toilet, shower and basin drains. We removed the ceiling, installed spotlights and insulated correctly using baffles. we installed teh new pipework required for a power shower, basin and toilet. We installed ceramic tiles to the walls and floor. We installed the suite.
We installed a pump in an external cupboard and ran in a new cold water supply from the original cold water tank.
